What do all the famous magicians have in common?

Firstly, an immense love of magic. Secondly, they are extremely hardworking and are always striving to take their magic to new heights of excellence. Due to this persistence and dedication, the art of magic has grown by leaps and bounds. Indeed, magical performances as we know it today are light years beyond what our forefathers used to watch in dimly lit theaters.

When I use the term "famous magicians", I don't mean that all of them perform in Las Vegas and have touring shows around the world. Some of them just perform close-up magic for small audiences and are seldom seen on a stage. However, all of them are known among their peers and their audiences for their creations and innovations in magic.

We can improve our own routines by studying their styles and adapting their ideas into our own show. Of course, we have to be careful not to blindly imitate them otherwise we will just look like a copycat version of them.

Here I will list down the magicians, their biographies, and the magic effects that either they have created or have become known for. It will be impossible to include all popular magicians out there so this list is by no means exhaustive. Nevertheless, you can still improve a lot by watching and studying from just a handful of these masters of magic.
